Surf Halo creates surf hats with discreet built-in protection, thoughtfully designed in Australia for surfers of all ages who want to stay safe without compromising on style, comfort, or performance.
We started with adult hats and will soon be launching a kids’ range, because raising confident, protected surf kids starts with the right gear. Whether you’re surfing solo, paddling out with your kids, or watching your partner disappear over the back of a set, you deserve peace of mind in the water.
Our Goal
Our goal is to redefine what surfers expect from their gear. For too long, protection in surfing has meant compromise between comfort, safety, performance and sun protection. We’re here to change that. By designing products that integrate seamlessly into your surf, we aim to make added protection feel natural, effortless, and essential, without ever getting in the way.
About the Founder
Hi, I’m Silvia, founder of Surf Halo, mum of two, and a surfer who found the waves later in life. I started surfing in my late twenties and, like many adult learners, had to overcome a lot of fears to find my flow. Surfing became my reset button.
Now raising a young ocean-loving family in Australia, the waves are a part of our everyday life. I’ve started teaching my kids to surf, and with that came a deeper awareness of just how vulnerable we all are out there, especially when it comes to things like fin cuts, board bumps, and head knocks that can happen in a second. I found myself wishing for an extra layer of protection, something light, comfortable, and made for real surfers. I didn’t want to have to choose between sun safety and injury protection, I wanted both, in one simple design.
That’s how Surf Halo began.
